We then inherited a female from a friend who also breeds GSD's ( Maltasipelu) and it just went on. And over this time we have inherited this fantastic line in which we have scoured the country high an d low to find what we call a real German Shepherd Dog. Complete with perfect hips, clear health tests, coat and most importantly temperament. We now have everything in place which is why we breed the perfect German Shepherd Dog. We still have alot to learn and are not shy to ask other breeders advice and if we are not sure we will continue to ask but from our point of view and everybody who as had a puppy from us as said what a great job we've done. ( please see our guest book ).

Our dogs are a member of our family and live in our home all puppies we breed also are reared and handled from day one in our family home brought up around children and used to house hold noises at four weeks they are introduced to the rest of the pack so they are very well socialised. INFORMATION ON THE GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG

Before you decide to buy a GSD you should take in to consideration the size these dogs grow and how quickly, the exercise and time they will need from you and the cost of feeding and veterinary care. And that you may have this dog for 10 to 13 years plus.

The GSD is a loyal and faithful companion a great guard dog and equally a fantastic family pet. The GSD is a working breed and may have different characteristics to some other breeds like the Labradors or Yorkshire terrier. The GSD is more larger and powerful so it is important that it is socialised from an early age training classes are essential alongside regular exercise as it helps to maintain a stable mind even if it is snowing your GSD will still want to go for a walk. If you fail to fulfil your GSD needs you will get all sorts of problems i.e domination chewing things that shouldn't be chewed like walls or sofas ect.

Bare in mind the GSD is a working breed and its natural instinct is to protect and guard what's his. If you are going to be out of the house for a long period of time you must leave plenty of fresh water available and plenty of toys or make sure someone is available to pop in to your home to let your GSD out for garden or sit with him for a while if possible dog sitters are found on websites ect.

Remember your GSD is going to need regular exercise no matter what the weather about an hour a day minimum will be fine. You should find your local training school when you first purchase your GSD as they are not born with the skills of how to behave.

If however you socialise your GSD well from the off and someone visits your home and your GSD takes a dislike to them take note because they are usually right it is their instinct to protect their family and home no matter what.

If you feel you can fulfil all these requirements then you may have the best companion you could ever wish for.
