Certain kinds of diseases and abnormalities can develop in pets, both due to human or genetic. However, prevention is always better than cure. Below are some list of the common health defects of white German shepherd dog and their adverse possible effects to pets.

Of all the health problems that can be encountered by pets are skin allergies. They are the most evident type of health defects. Allergies in pets are one of the most common causes of skin conditions. It can be difficult to control and are chronic in nature.

There are 3 main types of allergies in relation to skin conditions. It is possible for a pet to have a combination of all 3 allergy types: Food Allergy, Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD), Atopy, or Allergic Inhaled Dermatitis. All of which can significantly weaken your pet.

When pets are exposed to excessive trainings, they are more likely to develop bone defects. One of which is Canine hip dysplasia or CHD. It is a skeletal problem, an abnormal development of the hip joint where the head of the femur does not fit snugly into the pelvic socket. It is characterized by a shallow acetabulum (the "cup" of the hip joint) and changes in the shape of the femoral head (the "ball" of the hip joint).

Likewise, other bone ailments can also develop which will also drastically weaken or worse, paralyze your pet. Others include Progressive posterior paresis and Panosteitis. They are conditions wherein there is a neural condition, a paralysis of one or both hind legs and skeletal problem of spontaneous lameness and pain, respectively.
